Disney’s Maleficent is headed for some serious Box Office results, even though audiences were impressed with the first trailer, with the second trailer Disney really hit the spot. The beloved “Once Upon A Dream” from the original “Sleeping Beauty” (sung by Mary Costa ft Bill Shirley) reappears in Maleficent, but this time it’s dark and gloomy befitting for, well, the main character Maleficent, and as a bonus it’s sung by none other but Lana Del Rey. How appropriate and haunting!
It really adds material to Maleficent’s conniving nature.Apart from the song that covers the entire 90 seconds of the trailer we can see more action and battles. The feral creatures that are most likely in service of Maleficent are awesome. The movie looks more and more stunning by the second in the trailer below.
The internet is buzzing with the news, on youtube if you start typing “once upon a dream…” it automatically adds “lana del rey” now. That was fast.
Here, treat yourself with the original, or at least compare. Even though obvious, but the version below sung by Mary Costa is the symbol of Aurora’s purity and naivety. Now if you listen to Lana Del Rey’s version it is stunning how the same lyrics feel corrupted and up to no good. You can rad a little more on Maleficent true nature here.
The anti-fairytale stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent herself, Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora and Juno Temple as Thistletwit, the pixie.
Directed by Robert Stromberg, Maleficent premieres on May 30, 2014.

When the first trailer of Vampire Academy was released I thought we’re in for another Twilight. But from the second trailer we can see that at least in this one they are not taking things seriously. Even though some of the jokes are old, like “right here people, right here”, at least it looks like wasting time on something trying to be funny, not depressive stories about vampires wanting to commit suicide.
Vampire Academy is based on a bestseller, well which film isn’t today?
Stars Zoey Deutch as Rose Hathaway, Lucy Fry as Lissa Dragomir, Sarah Hyland as Natalie Dashkov and Olga Kurylenko as Kirova.
Oh, BTW the song in the Vampire Academy trailer is Matangi by M.I.A
Disney Studios released the first trailer of Maleficent starring Angleina Jolie. The movie seems to be an anti-fairytale chronicling the classic story of Sleeping Beauty as seen form Maleficent’s eyes. Could be interesting, and from the trailer’s visuals and the movie budget ($200M) it’s almost a certainty that Maleficent is going to be a blockbuster…or something similar to John Carter.
Maleficent is directed by Robert Stromberg, alongside Angelina Jolie stars Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, Juno Temple as Thistletwit and Brenton Thwaites as Prince Phillip.
